fan cover
Xi'an Xima Electric Motors provides various models of motor fan covers produced by our factory, including fiberglass motor fan covers and stainless steel motor fan covers.
Fiberglass Motor Fan Cover: The advantages of fiberglass fan covers include their permanent shape retention, stability of geometric dimensions over time, resistance to ultraviolet rays, aging, high temperatures, cracking, corrosion, and weathering. The fiberglass cloth is specially treated with a unique formulation, making the physical properties of the finished product, such as impact strength, bending strength, tensile strength, and tensile modulus, much higher than those of regular alkali-free or medium-alkali fiberglass cloth.
Stainless Steel Motor Fan Cover: The advantage of stainless steel fan covers is their superior corrosion resistance. They offer excellent resistance to both chemical and electrochemical corrosion compared to ordinary steel. These covers allow for large ventilation, good heat dissipation, high hardness, and quiet operation.
The motor fan cover mold has a complex structure, with long design and manufacturing cycles, high costs, difficult adjustments, and a tendency to develop surface defects. As a result, the fan cover parts are generally outsourced for processing. To address these issues, the research and development team at Taifu Xima Electric Motor has studied the spinning forming process and designed a set of spinning forming tools, which have achieved good results in tests.
Protective Role of Motor Fan Covers in Electrical Equipment
The design of the motor fan cover resembles that of an elastic band, with a section of wire extending from its top. The size of the cover can vary. The main function of the motor fan cover is to change the direction of current. However, the specific role it plays differs between different types of motors (DC motors and AC motors).
In DC motors, the fan cover changes the rotor's magnetic poles by altering the rotor's conductive coils, ultimately changing the motor’s direction of movement. In AC motors, the fan cover changes the direction of current by modifying the contact points for the incoming and outgoing currents.
Additionally, the fan cover is installed on the commutator or slip ring of the motor and has excellent electrical conductivity, heat conductivity, and lubrication properties. It is an essential component of the motor.
