The YQ series medium-sized motor can drive various types of mechanical equipment, such as blowers, compressors, pumps, crushers and stock moving machines. It can work as the main motor in coal mines, mechanical industries, power plants and various industrial enterprises.

The YQ series three-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motor meets the JB563-64 technical standard. This motor is a protected type, but it can be designed with pipe ventilation if the customer requires.

The protected type motor should be installed indoors where the altitude does not exceed 1000m, the ambient temperature ranges from 0°C to 40°C, and the air should be clean, without acid or alkali. The motor is not allowed to work in explosive or dusty atmospheres.

When the ambient temperature exceeds the above limit or the air is not clean, the Pipe Ventilation type should be used. Here, the temperature of the air entering both sides of the motor should be 0°C to 40°C, while the air pressure inside the pipe and motor should be higher than that of the ambient air, and it is necessary to equip a blower and filter in due time.

Full voltage starting is allowed for the YQ series squirrel cage motor. The relationship between the initial starting torque and its rated value is shown in Table No. 3, as well as that of the initial value of the starting current and its rated value. If the customer's power grid cannot support full voltage starting, reduced voltage starting is also suitable. However, the starting torque and starting voltage fall in a quadratic relationship.
