Xi'an Lite Simo motors Z4 series DC motors take Z4-280-11B as an example, Z means DC motor, 4 means 4 series, 280 means the motor centre height (mm), the first 1 means the core length serial number, the second 1 means the front end cover serial number, 1 is the short end cover, 2 is the long end cover, and B means the compensated winding.

Z4 series DC motors: the centre height of 100 ~ 355mm is the People's Republic of China machinery industry standard JB / T6316-92 ‘Z4 series of DC motors technical conditions’ stipulated by the standard series of small DC motors; the centre height of 400 ~ 450mm for the standard series of DC motors other than the expansion of the Z4 DC motors; the centre height of 500 ~ 710mm is the new development of the factory of the medium-sized The centre height of 500～710mm is the newly developed medium-sized DC motor of our factory.  Z4 series DC motor has greater superiority than Z2, Z3 series, it not only can be used in DC unit power supply, more suitable for static rectifier power supply. And the rotating inertia is small, with better dynamic performance, and can withstand a high rate of change of the load, especially suitable for the need for smooth speed regulation, high efficiency, automatic speed stabilisation, responsive control system, with today's international advanced level.

 The rating of the motors is continuous working continuous rating, and the motors can be rated to operate according to the data in the technical data sheet in the areas where the altitude is not more than 1000m above sea level and the ambient air temperature is not more than 40℃. This series of Simo motors adopts class F insulation.

 The power range of Xi'an Sigma Z4 series DC motors is from 1.5kW to 840kW, and the rated speeds are 3000, 1500, 1000, 750, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200r/min, and the excitation mode is other-excitation, and the excitation voltage is 180V. In addition to the grades stipulated above, according to the specific conditions and the needs of users, other power, armature voltage, speed, and other types of motors can be derived. In addition to the above specified levels, other values of power, armature voltage, rotational speed and excitation voltage can be derived according to the specific conditions and needs of users.

 The motor with rated voltage of 160V is generally required to work with reactor in case of single-phase bridge rectifier power supply, and the value of inductance of the external reactor is specified on the motor nameplate. For motors with rated voltage 440V, no external reactor is required.

 The performance of this series of motors not only conforms to the national standard GB/T755 ‘Basic Technical Requirements for Rotary Motors’, but also conforms to the German VDE0530 standard.

      (1)Basic structure

      Z4 series DC motors adopt octagonal fully laminated structure, which not only has high space utilisation, but also can withstand pulsating current and rapid load current changes when powered by static rectifier.

      Z4 series DC motors are generally without series-excited windings and are suitable for automatic control technology that requires forward and reverse rotation. According to the user's need, it can also be made with series-excited winding. The motors with the centre height of 100～280mm have no compensation winding, but the motors with the centre height of 250mm and 280mm can be made with compensation winding according to the specific conditions and needs, and the motors with the centre height of 315～450mm have compensation winding.

      The outline installation dimensions and technical requirements of motors with a centre height of 500-710mm are in accordance with IEC international standards, and the mechanical dimension tolerances of the motors are in accordance with ISO international standards.

      (2) Cooling method and structure, installation form

      IC06: External ventilation with its own blower;

      ICl7: cooling air inlet is piped and outlet is louvered exhaust;

      IC37: i.e. both cooling air inlet and outlet are ducts;

      IC611: fully enclosed with air/air cooler;

      ICW37A86: fully enclosed with air/water cooler.

 And there are a variety of derivative forms, such as self-ventilated type, with axial air machine type, closed type, air / air cooler type. The data of required cooling air volume, air pressure, and fan motor power of each machine number motor are shown in Table 1.The basic protection level of the shell of the whole series motor is IP21S.

 The mounting form of Z4 series Simo motors conforms to GB/T997 ‘Motor Structure Mounting Type and Designation’, and the mounting dimensions of the motors conform to IEC standard except the axial distance of the foot hole (B dimension).

  The position of motor outlet box is on the right side of the chassis (i.e. positive box) from the transmission end (non-commutator end), if the user requires the outlet box to be placed on the other side of the chassis, the reverse box is indicated at the time of ordering. The basic shaft of the motor is single-axis, and the direction of the shaft facing the outlet box (positive box) is the left shaft. If the user needs, it can also be made into a double shaft extension. The basic direction of rotation of the rotor shaft is anti-clockwise from the commutator end. The transmission of the motor is by flexible coupling, and can also be used for certain radial force transmission (belt or gear transmission).
