Xi'an Lite Simo motors: ZBL4 Series Totally Closed Direct-Cooled DC Motor

Model Description

Xi'an Lite Simo motors ZBL4 series of totally enclosed direct-cooled DC motors take ZBL4-180-21 for example: Z means DC motor, BL means totally enclosed self-cooled, 4: means the fourth series design, 180 means the centre height of the motor (180mm), 2 means the length of the iron core is coded as 2, and 1 means the code of the end cover.

Motor Overview

 Xi'an Lite Simo motors ZBL4 series of fully enclosed direct-cooled DC motors adopt the full laminated chassis, so they are suitable for static rectifier power supply conditions and can withstand the current rate of change that cannot be achieved by the whole chassis, the stator adopts the octagonal structure, which has a very high space utilisation rate, the magnetic poles are mounted and positioned accurately, and the computer-assisted design is adopted to make the control of the electrical parameters appropriate, so that the motors have good commutation performance, and there are special heat dissipation ribbons on the outer surface of chassis. There is a special heat dissipation rib on the surface, which increases the effective heat dissipation surface area of the motor. This increases the output power under the effective volume of the motor. 

      The motor adopts F-pole insulating material. The insulation structure is novel and reliable, ensuring stable insulation performance and good heat dissipation. 

      Motors with rated voltage of 400V or 440V can operate stably for a long time under the condition of three-phase fully-controlled bridge rectifier power supply and without external DC levelling reactor. Motors with a rated voltage of 160 volts are supplied by a single-phase bridge rectifier power supply, in which case the pulsating current is suppressed and a DC levelling reactor has to be connected to the motor circuit, the inductance of which is shown in the technical data sheet.  

      The mounting dimensions of this series of motors are in accordance with the international standard IEC72, except for the axial dimension ‘B’ between the two foot holes. 

Motor Characteristics and Uses

      Xi'an Lite simo motors ZBL4 series fully enclosed direct-cooled DC motor is a newly developed product on the basis of Z4 series forced air-cooled DC motor. In addition to the original Z4 series motor's unique features of small size, light weight, high output power, fully applicable to static integrated current power supply, etc., it also has a closed casing, which is particularly suitable for dust and metal chips and other places. 

Motor performance

      1. The data in the technical data sheet shall be operated in accordance with the following conditions of use 

        a. Altitude not exceeding 1000 metres. 

        b. Ambient air temperature not more than 40 degrees Celsius. 

        c. The working environment should not contain acidic, alkaline or other gases that have a corrosive effect on the insulation.  

        d. The motor is in continuous operation (S1). 

        e. The armature circuit and excitation circuit of the motor can be supplied by static rectifier power supply, and also adapted to be supplied by DC generator. 

        f. The performance of this series of motors are in line with national standards GB755-87 ‘basic technical requirements of rotating motors’ also refer to the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC34-1 or the German national standard DIN57530 requirements assessment. 

      2. The standard rated voltage of the motor is 160 volts and 440 volts, which can be derived from 220 volts, 400 volts or other voltages according to the specific conditions. 

      3. The rated speed of the motor is 3000, 1500, 750 rpm, 4 speeds in total. Reduce the excitation voltage for constant power speed regulation, speed range see technical data sheet, reduce the armature voltage for constant torque speed regulation. Under the condition of continuous armature current, the lowest speed is 20 rpm, which can still maintain the rated torque and smooth speed. 

      4. The standard excitation voltage is 180 volts, other excitation voltages can be negotiated, in order to ensure the reliability of the insulation of the excitation system, in order to ensure the reliability of the excitation system, when disconnecting the excitation circuit, must be connected in parallel with a release resistance at both ends of the excitation winding in order to prevent self-induced potential, in the standard excitation voltage when the value of the excitation winding resistance of about seven times the value of the excitation winding resistance (cold), excitation voltage is higher than the standard value of the value of the release resistance in parallel with the value of the less than seven, or more than seven times;.  

      5. The motor's outlet box is provided with a grounding symbol terminal; and 

      6. The efficiency value in the technical data sheet is the efficiency at rated power, rated voltage and speed, which includes the excitation loss. 

ZBL4 series totally enclosed direct-cooled DC motor structure introduction

      1. The protection grade of the motor is IP44.

      2. the cooling method of the motor is IC0041 totally enclosed self-cooling type; 

      3. the mounting method of the motor is in accordance with the international GB997-81 regulations, there are IMB3, IMB5, IMB35, IMV1, IMV15, IMV3IMV36, etc. 

      4. the motor has a heat dissipating rib on the outer surface of the housing and the outlet box is located above the end cap on the commutator side; and 

      5. the non-rotating side of the motor can be fitted with a speed generator, encoder or other accessories.
