Motor Overview

The JR series medium-sized squirrel cage motors can drive various machinery, including ventilators, compressors, pumps, crushers, ball mills, cutting machine tools, transportation equipment, and other devices. These motors are widely used as prime movers in coal mines, the machinery industry, power plants, and various industrial and mining enterprises.

The JR series motors comply with the JB563-64 technical conditions specified by industry standards. They are designed as protected motors but can also be customized for duct ventilation upon request.

• Installation Environment:

• Altitude: ≤ 1,000m.

• Ambient temperature: 0°C to +40°C.

• Air: Clean, without corrosive gases like acids or alkalis.

• Not suitable for environments with explosive gases or excessive dust.

• Special Ventilation Requirements:
  If the ambient temperature exceeds the specified range or the air is unclean, duct ventilation must be used. Cooling air temperature should be maintained between 0°C and +40°C. Duct pressure inside the motor should be higher than the surrounding air pressure. Fans and dust filters can be added if necessary.

• Starting:

• The JR series motor allows direct full-voltage starting.

• If direct starting is not feasible due to power grid limitations, reduced voltage starting can be used, though the starting torque will decrease proportionally to the square of the voltage.

Motor Structure

The JR series motor features a horizontal installation with a foot-mounted frame.

• Cooling System:
  Radial ventilation design with symmetrical air intake on both sides. Air flows through the end caps, stator windings, and radial slots in the rotor core before exiting via the frame outlets.

• Bearings:
  Uses rolling bearings; the bearing type and grease specification (lithium-based ZL-3 grease) are listed in Table 1.

• Connection Box:
  Located on the right side of the motor frame when viewed from the shaft extension end.

• Customization:
  Double shaft extensions can be provided upon request, with either shaft capable of transmitting rated power. (Ball-bearing ends support coupling only.)

• Low-Speed Operation:
  Suitable for long-term operation at low speeds when load torque decreases proportionally with speed (e.g., when driving fans or pumps).

1. Specify the motor model, power, speed regulation, voltage, frequency, noise level, and installation type when placing an order. If no noise level is specified, the motor will be supplied as grade 2.

2. For special requirements, include detailed specifications in the contract and consult the manufacturer in advance.
